In a context where numerous climate, ecological, and societal challenges need to be addressed, Centrale Lyon, as a public research-intensive engineering school, is undergoing a transformation to support socio-economic actors in major transitions.
A new positioning
Through the diversification of its educational offerings, the focus of its research projects, and the strengthening of ties with regional stakeholders, Centrale Lyon is dedicated to addressing today’s multifaceted challenges and meeting the aspirations of its students and ecosystem. To reflect these changes, the institution’s brand architecture has been redesigned: École Centrale de Lyon is now Centrale Lyon, and its internal school ENISE is now Centrale Lyon ENISE.
A new graphic identity
The logos and visual identity of the institution have also evolved.
The updated logos modernize key symbols: the lion, the cogwheel, and the bees, which are integral to the institution's heritage and identity.
- The coat of arms honors the legacy of a school founded in 1857.
- The lion represents territorial roots, strength, and power.
- The cogwheels symbolize engineering and the pursuit of solutions to complex challenges.
- The bees reflect the importance of collaboration and biodiversity.
By blending scientific expertise with academic excellence, this new identity reaffirms Centrale Lyon’s ambition to transform scientific knowledge into technological and social innovations that benefit society.
