École Centrale de Lyon is highly active in the transfer of technology. It has signed commercial agreements with businesses and published works on its expertise.
Centrale Lyon ensures that its findings from research are transferred to the relevant industries. Such transfers are carried out by the granting of licences that allow existing companies or start-ups to exploit those licences in the form of new products and services. As such, Centrale Lyon collaborates with Pulsalys, its Technology Transfer Acceleration Office.
The institute is the owner of a large number of patents and other intellectual properties (software). Today, it holds over 200 intellectual property titles.
Centrale Lyon is also energetic in the dissemination of its knowledge. In this way, it keeps public bodies, businesses and other research centres informed of its current work, while promoting its research with an eye on later technology transfers.
